AQHA Horseback Riding Program

Earn rewards for what you love doing most - riding your horse!

AQHA’s Horseback Riding Program rewards you for doing what you love – saddling up and riding. Whether you are exclusive to the American Quarter Horse or also ride other breeds, you can participate in this fun and rewarding program.

The only requirement to join the HBR program is a current AQHA, AQHYA or amateur membership.

There are two divisions of the HBR program: Quarter Horse and All Breed. You can sign up for one or the other for $35, or join both for $70. As long as your membership is current, you don’t have to re-enroll for the duration of the program! The more time you spend riding your horse, the more hours you can log, therefore, the more rewards you earn! You'll want to log your hours often so your rewards will roll in more frequently.

Enroll online today!

Because the program is an incentive for riding, you can log hours anytime you get on a horse. You don’t have to own the horse to log hours, either. Just make sure you log your hours under the appropriate breed program, on official log sheets (one sheet per horse), log hours riding, pleasure driving or doing ground activities, including training, showing and/or exercising (does not include grooming, feeding or health maintenance).

Now for the good part – the rewards! There are multiple reward systems, one for the Quarter Horse Division, one for the All Breed Division and one for international members in each horse division. You can earn rewards from Montana Silversmiths, SmartPak and Professional Choice. As you move up through 15 thresholds - from 25 to 5,000 hours, you'll have the opportunity to purchase jackets reserved exclusively for higher-hour reward recipients. The rewards series culminates at 5,000 hours with a Montana Silversmiths silver buckle customized for the Horseback Riding Program.

Horseback Riding Program hours can be submitted on paper by mail or fax (use the Quarter Horse log sheet or the All Breeds log sheet) or online. The fun doesn’t have to end when you’ve logged all of your hours. Once you’ve completed the program, you can re-enroll and start again!

Double the fun! If you are an AQHA trail ride participant, log those hours and AQHA will automatically double them!
